Grading and Preparation for Paving

The soil will need to be graded; besides grading driveways or parking lots, we also grade out farm roads, log roads and any area requiring grading. We apply aggregate base or native soil as a foundation, then compact it, paying close attention to drainage requirements. Our base material is made from recycled concrete and asphalt.

Before and After Paving and Sealing

Prior to having paving or sealing done, make sure all sprinklers are turned off and vehicles moved away from the area. Sprinklers can be turned back on 24 hours after sealing, 48 hours after paving. When the work has been done, wait 4-6 hours before walking on it and 24-48 hours before driving on it.

Asphalt Placement

Like anything else, the asphalt is only as good as the base material below it. Placing asphalt requires a very experienced crew; because it is a perishable product there is only a minimal time in which to lay it down and compact it.

Our work is guaranteed for one year.

Maintenance – What Are My Options?

If you seal your new asphalt with two coats of slurry seal one year after paving, followed up with a slurry seal at three to five year intervals, you can keep your asphalt usable and looking fine for a long time.
